Hi, I am a new member introduced by Blackbox, I have been into photography for 30+ years. I had Nikon 35mm equipment until last year but traded in. I am new to digital photography and am still wrestling with the features and useless settings on the Canon G9.

Welcome to LA, Mark.

It's a steep learning curve, isn't it?  When I got my first Canon DSLR, I confidently put the box with the instruction book in it away in the cupboard, as I was going from a sophisticated semi-pro T90 Canon SLR to an entry level DSLR.

I can tell you that I darned soon had that manual out of the box and careful and ongoing study of it is constantly required.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Hey Mark, from another one (Mark)

Welcome to LA and a big thanks to Blackbox, for inviting you along  Smiley
It is all very casual, a small village with a ton of personality who enjoy their photography.
There is no agenda. So ask, advise, comment as you see fit.
Most impotantly post and participate. I am sure you will enjoy the company here!
