NASA B52

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1661

So what does a Nuclear Bomber have to do with science I hear you ask?

Well, this is the B52 Mothership that NASA used to launch a number of it's experimental aircraft over the years, including the radical lifting body aircraft and absolutely awesome Mach 6+ X15.

This particular B52 is a "B" model and was used exclusively by NASA for the launching of experimental aircraft.

If serial numbers are anything to go by this one is a very early one!
I remember the X-15, like a pencil with tail fins, what a ride strapped into that!

Great angle - it almost looks like a blimp (which, of course, it is about as far removed from as you can get!).

Bit like Peter Faulk/Colombo (for those old enough to remember) - needs a nose job!! I like the wild point of view!!! Very nicely done!

Yes, I agree, great view point and nice shot. Looks like it could do with a new paint job.
