I am claiming that there is a dolphin in this image.
Living on the coast, or near it most of my life, I have seen dolphins surfing waves a number of times.
Look closely at the face of the wave to the far right of the image, directly below the edge of the first boulder as you scan to the right.
The torso of a dolphin in the wave face is visible.
Ahahhhhhh, I hear them say, "time for a nana nap" for this one. But I bet it is.

Good shot, but it belongs under 'sport' for surfing.  Wink

I'm going back to the original at full res toi check.  I'd be delighted if there was a dolphin in it!

You have got amazingly sharp eyes, my friend.  Here is a bit of full res image, lightened up.  There is something there, whether dolphin or surfer I can't say (the water was thick with surfers).  How on EARTH did you pick it out?

I suppose it could be the legs of a surfer paddling over / through the wave, but is very like how dolphins come in fast behind the wave and propell along inside the face. All that aside, yet again a good image.

If that is a surfer he is a lot braver than this little black duck dicing with trawlers etc at the mouth of the Tweed! At the risk of building up an "opponents" photo - our bet is dolphin!  Cheesy

You should see how close they appear in some of the shots (I'll post one soon).  A lot of it is the compression factor of the 300mm lens, but they do 'mix it'.  That particular day had great dark clouds out to sea and was very 'photogenic'.
