Dale a friend of mine from another forum from my fishkeeping days recommended here. I don't keep fish anymore and the money spent on that is probably now spent on my photography equipment / magazines.

Well I am a Brummie living in Essex working in London trying to become at least a decent hobbyist. Bought my first EOS about three years ago and now have a 40D which I am enjoying.

Some of my pictures are at http://flickr.com/photos/garethnash/ but can't say I have anything I am truly proud of yet.

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to getting involved on here.

Gareth

Hi (Gareth?) welcome to our forum. I just had a quick look at your flickr and am not sure whu you feel you have nothing to be proud of. You have some great shots there and I look forward to seeing some on here. In return you will receive comments, advice and inspiration from a variety of enthusiastic eyes.

Thanks Derek. In truth I think I'd like to get out and use the kit more but sometimes the inspiration is lacking.

Hi Gareth,
Welcome to Light Art!
I had a look at your Flikr site and there are some great animal shots and the shot of Bruges is very nice too.
That's as good a place as any to start, whack some of them up into the 'Animals' and 'Places' galleries. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the feedback that you will receive.

Everyon here is freindly, helpful and supportive. Dale has sent you to the right place.

This month's theme is street photography, if you have anything at all depicting the theme, post it up....or just go for a walk with the camera this weekend. You just win yourself a 24" x16" print! Smiley

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.
