Very nice shot, I'd try increasing the contratc a bit and seeing how it loos.  You could try adding a yellow/red filter effect in Photoshop/PS Elements too, that increases contrast naturally - not colour.  Go to Filters/Adjustment/Photo Filters and select from the drop down menu (that's in PSE, it will be similar in PS/CS).
