Hi, I'm Derek and have just broken my forum virginity Shocked, so I hope I am writing this in the right place.

At about 8 in the UK I got my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic and upgraded to a Practika MTL3 (which I still have) as soon as I started work. Now 20+ years on and in Australia I have a couple of Nikon D200's and love them. I am fortunate enough to work in my passion with my photography business (www.goosebump.com.au) which involves photographing anything from products to weddings.

I love any image opportunity that puts me behind a camera with a future goal of producing saleable photographic artworks. Like most, my skill as a photographer is constantly evolving and my reason for being here is to have the chance to communicate with other like minded people.

I look forward to the opportunity to chat and share on this forum and improve my knowledge and skills.

Talk soon, have a nice day.

Thanks Tommy from the not so sunny side of the planet, but you do have some stunning scenery and really green, greens.
