Father & son at Benndalong

This image was taken at a place called Benndalong on the NSW south coast, a couple of hours drive south of Sydney. We were holidaying with friends when a mid afternoon storm came through. The day was hot and after the storm passed, we all headed back to the beach. There were quite a few parents and their kids in the water. I took this shot of my good friend John and his son Eden who were a little away from the main group.
it was shot with a basic Canon 300D (Rebel in the US market) using a 35 - 105 zoom and a polarising filter.
I have also added a slight gaussian blur and a bit of saturation. There are huge bull rays cruising around in the water here (like more than a metre or 3ft across). It can be a bit daunting seeing these big dark shadows  moving by, but they mind their own business. Just north of here is a place called Huskisson, which is in the Guiness Book of records as having the whitest pure silica sand in the world.

Very nice treatment, Mark.  I know the area well (lived in Canberra area 32 years and often visited) and you've caught the 'air' of it very well.
