Don't know what the prices are over your way but sony have the GN 42 flash, and the
Sigma EF 530 DG ST flash and its more advanced EF 530 DG Super flash.
The Sigma flashes are meant to be pretty good and also cheaper than the flashes
made by the camera makers. Not sure on prices so you would have to check them out
where you are. Metz make some great flashes but they are a bit more expensive.

This is the sigma flash ... it does make a sony mount so it would be compatible with your camera.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

If i had to get one regardless of the make etc the  word that springs to mind Tommy is ...BOUNCE....and swivel....Buy Wisely..Buy Once....

At present i'm stuck with a little direct flash and i know that the shots would be much better if only i could control the direction of the flash ...The photo mags show loads of photos with bounce flash and it beats the direct one hands down..

Yeah I have been advised that getting a flash unit that can bounce off ceilings etc is a must.

Tho.... Why does camera kit have to be so bloody expensive???  You get a camera a kit lense which costs alot.  Then you have to buy a flash unit, which costs a small fortune.  Then you realise that you need several lenses to do different type of work, so there's a lot more money out.  Then you see all these other cameras that are better than yours, so theres even more money.

The list for kit and money pouring outta your pockets is never ending when it comes to photography.

I should've taken up fishing lolol  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
