great shot next time try putting light on the background it will take out the Shadow.
been trying this myself it works.

Yeah i would've used a light on the background. I was gonna use a 2 light set up but space denied me that luxury. It was in the clients home and it was a very, very narrow room with not a lot of space length-wise to work with! But it was the only available space the client had so i did wat i could.
Normally i'd have one on the background and one on the subject but couldn't do it this time. My main worry was, is the client goin to like her shots? She loved them! She was a young single mum and it felt good creating something she loved. I'm jus waiting on a frame and doing a triptych for her.

Well done Tommy.
Another hint on that shadow is to put a diffuser over the flash head this will spread the light a bit bounce some off the walls and ceiling. Unless you are really pressed for back-away space bouncing off the ceiling works too.

Thanks mark! All these wee tips will help me for future shoots! Feels good gettin paid for something i love doing. Maybe one day it will be my career!!

Great shot Tommy, congrats on the work.
With the shadows you could possibly lighten them in PP or you could even try cloning over them at a lowered opacity so it lightens the shadow but doesn't look unnatural.
