I'm not sure what you're looking for in your poll, Sammy...As to whether they are vintage or classic, I suppose they could be both... Huh?...Ben

Hi Sammy,
These posts have been a bit borderline.
We are very happy to have you particpate on the forum, but these are really aimed at getting people across to another site.
If you have an affiliation with the business, that is fine and you can inlcude the URL in your signature, or say "view my / our / great stuff at... or whatever. We certainly don't mind being directed at interesting things elsewhere.

There seems to be a few others with only 1 or 2 posts like this to, they join make a couple of posts
and then are never to be seen or heard of again.

The person with the user name marcusnew should be deleted. If you put your pointer over his
website icon it says "download free p**n" this is clearly not needed on this site.
(P.S. I did not click on this site).

I was just on another board I frequent and noticed an interesting feature...A member is not allowed to post a link until after 15 posts...I was at #14 and posted one more elsewhere then my link was authorized...

That's one way to keep the spammers at bay... Shocked...Ben

Maybe the members list could do with a bit of a clean out. There seems to be a fair few people that
have joined and have only made a couple of posts and haven't been seen since, there is even some that haven't even made a post. A email could be sent to these people asking if they still want to be part of
this great forum, if they don't want to be then they could be removed and if they don't respond then
they could also be removed. Its not much use having members in a forum if they are not interested
in being involved in it.

I'd be careful about that...I'm a member of many boards because I have such varied interests...Some I check several times a day, others I check once a week or month...On some I've read them for years before making a first post...I'm in favor of not deleting a member until they show reason to be removed...It doesn't cost a penny to keep them enrolled and someday they may contribute something valuable...

The troublemakers and spammers can walk the plank... Shocked...Ben

Trucky, I agree, thats why I thought they could be sent an email to see what there intentions were, but
only the ones that have made a couple of posts and that haven't been around for ages.
It seems that some of these members only joined to post a link or 2.

I tend to agree with T'man, we have plenty of space and I know both my wife and another friend are members and readers but don't post. Not evryone has something to say early on.
As you know I send out one email each month to all members as a means of providing an update of theme comps and it also just provides a gentle reminder  that we are here.
Please do continue to raise flag whenever a spammer or multi-link poster pops up.
We had that young guy a few months back that posted a flurry for a week then posted a huge list of links to other forums and his own sites, then disappeared never to be seen again. I still don't know if it was all about the links, but he also posted some good images and who knows, people just get bus,ty with other stuff. "Helen" was another example. A great contributor but went to NZ and we haven't seen her since. I would be very disinclined to remove her. She may just turn up again one day.
I am registered to a number of technical forums that I only visit from time to time, but i still wouldn't want to be zapped.  Wink

Hello folks!
This is Sammy again and I revisited the forum again and was surprised to see how many of you all posted comments apposing me. I didn't intend to arrouse so much suspision by simply refering you my brothers cool website! He works hard and sure can use some traffic! I hope you liked the vintage photography at least! I hate unsolitated spam aswell, but I don't consider this little link a spam bombardment. Whether I'm affiliated with ConvictedArtist.com or not, I see no harm in sharing a great website with you all and the rest of the world. In fact I'd like to share some more great photography with you all. These photos were takes by my good friend Bobby Tibuni of Vaboom Studios in El Paso, TX. Enjoy! http://www.convictedartist.com/vaboom_studios.html

Hey Sammy...Good to hear from you again, that tells me that you have a true interest here other than promoting another site...Most mof us have been affiliated with many boards and are used to spam attacks...Mark has worked hjard to create this site and we may seem a little protective of him...We welcome your input here and look forward to seeing some of your work...Ben

Hi Sammy,
The comments are honest and open, BUT you are truly welcome here.
How about grabbing the camera and posting a few images..we don't bite and I like to think that we don't B%tch on.
I am just opposed to straight out link spamming..We could all use the traffic, so maybe your brothers site could link back here.
I am happy to make it go round and certainly there is some good stuff on the site.

Hello friends,
Thank you all for responding back. I'm still not the best  photographer yet. I started shooting photos with an older Canon Powershot and collected quite a photo stock. Then I decided to invest in a Canon EOS 50D. I still hav'nt learned to master that camera. It's quite complex and I might have to do some reading on it. Most of the crisp photos taken on ConvictedArtist.com are from my camera. I really hav'nt seen any difference in quality from my older and simpler Canon Powershot SD110 IS vs. my more expensive Canon EOS 50D. I love vintage and gothic photography. My Girlfriend and me are working on a little something right now. Our plan is to create our own vintage photo stock and feature it on my brothers website. Here are some photos I took of her weeks ago.

1. Sultry Tangaza - She picked the theme, I picked the poses. http://www.convictedartist.com/sensual_tango.html

2. Sweet Elegance - She picked the dress - I picked the poses. http://www.convictedartist.com/beautiful_woman.html

3. Enchantment of the Evergreens - These photos were taken in the deep forest of Cloudcroft, NM.
http://www.convictedartist.com/cloudcroft.html

I hope you guys enjoy my first few photo shoots. Not bad for a newbee I supose. I will definately have my brother cross link to your website later on tonight. Sincerely, Sammy

I htink you have done a great job with your shots and the montage style presentation.
When you are ready post a few up.

Your brother's website represents quite a unique blend of themes and interests!

Hello:
The thanks for complimenting my photography. You are correct; my brother’s site does have a variety of themes. Some people call the site a schizophrenic. I am an artist so most of the art featured on the site were my idea, where as my brother loves Extreme Sports such as MMA, Boxing and Surfing. I love your gallery and will add a couple of my best to it soon. Take care.
Sincerely, Sammy

Hi Sammy,

Thanks for the links.
We also have a Links area fromthe main menu, you (and any member) are welcome to post photography-related links there.
All we ask is not to be carpet bombed by ant member of course and I am quite sure, we are one of the most relaxed in this area.

BTW, I do like some of the more 'out there' shots on Vaboom, the half made up face is very effective.
