I would like to offer a challenge to all members. take a set of photos that you think depicts a way to save our plannet. i have no specific theme in mind, i hope entrants will use there imagination. I am talking a local company who may sponsor this as a competition, however if anyone has contacts with other company's we may be able to get a greater coverage of our photos, which is the object of the exorcise. I will give the winner an A3 copy of the wining pic. my printer is an Epsom stylus 2100 i only use Epsom ink i print on Epsom archival mat paper,or ilford galerie fine art paper. winner can take there pick. good luck to all.

Sounds like a good idea, how long do we get. Some may need a good bit of time.

Good on you Bob for taking the initiative! Any step is a good step and your contest idea is a good one. I would be willing to contribute a custom hard cover A4 Momento Pro book titled 'Saving our Planet' of selected images from the competition (provided we can muster up say a minimum of 30 quality images to ensure enough pages for a 'book'). I would also print a few others that members can buy at cost if they wish I'll also see if I can drum up a couple of other prizes.
I would suggest something like a 3 month period (given a series is required). It would be very helpful if our members could give the thing a plug on any other forums or groups that they may particpate in. Any feedback or additional ideas building upon Bobs. One that I think that would be useful is the (optional) inclusion of a few words or a relevant quote with each series.

Most of Aus is ahead of QLD Ozzi - even WA nearly catches up in summertime!!! gIVE me a break. I have a wife and kids to attend to also. 11.15pm and working on it...no rest for the wicked Apart from the obvious opportunities to misquote and misconstrue the above I can only say that you are working twice as hard as you need to Admin Dude - by creating not one but TWO galleries for us kiddies to play in!!!! (And I took a print screen as evidence!!!!)

No problems Bob, so we look like we have a book and a print up for grabs so far. We should still kick off on the 1st Feb.
Is anyone intending to enter?? Should ask I guess!
