I took a visit to Chester Zoo today with my daughter & grandchildren, not the best weather... it rained all day!!
I did manage to get a few half decent shots though, this was one of them.

Looks good in B&W, really accentuates his patterning.

I agree it does look good in B & W. I also like the blurred effect all around him/her/it.

Chester zoo is a good place to visit (preferably when i'ts not raining though!) They've recently installed an elevated walkway that takes above some of the animal enclosures, though most of the animals decided it was to wet to venture out yesterday!!

The blurred effect is the bokeh from the Canon 100-400 lens I was using, an excellent piece of kit.

Like both the Bokeh and B & W Mike - great not to see the cages, and short of a very expensive trip, as close as most of us are going to get! Grin

Ross and Cher, just come down to Vic. We got big black Panthers running wild in alot of places, I have
only ever seen one once though.

What the...?

the used to say there were escaped panthers out past Penrith West of Sydney (from the Warragamba lion park), they named the local Penrith rugby league team The Panthers after them.
I also saw a show where wild lions supposedely were on the prowl in the wilds of England and a wild mob of kangaroos, somewhere out on the moors.
Do really think you saw one? Where abouts?
