Not that it matters but ... I GOT A NEW JOB !! ... Very excited about it ... I have to move from the Gold Coast to Brisbane tho.
Its a school called Cannon Hill Anglican College, for those out there that have an idea of the system here it is a TAS school ... TAS = The Associated Schools ... TAS schools are some of the best schools in Queensland (after GPS = Greater Public Schools)  and some of the oldest with the best academic and sporting programs in place.
I will be teaching and in charge of the Senior Biology program and teaching junior science as well.
This new job pays more money, has even better holidays, and apparently the kids at this school are REALLY well behaved !

Congrats. Let me also say thanks for being one of the underpaid and often thankless people who choose to teach those who hold our future.

It is a job of love thats for sure ... I do really enjoy the kids and I do enjoy the challenge of opening their minds.

Wont be moving until Jan / Feb ... There is too much going on before Xmas to even think about it now. Have 13days until baby is due, so Katrina wont be much good for a while until things get into a bit of routine. School has just finished yesterday so we will probably do a little packing of things we dont really use and move them to the parents place on the southside of Brissy. Some exciting / challenging times ahead I think !

p.s. I promise not to FLOOD the forum with baby pics ... only the BEST pics of the baby  Grin

Congrats on the new job Tim, at least you havn't got to far to move. What year do you teach.
Congrats on the soon to be new family addition. They always seem to come at the most unexpected times.
You would think that after being carried in there mums tummy for nine months they would be a little bit more
considerate and at least wait for a more respectable time.

Hey Ozzi,
Am teaching senior (yr11 + 12) Biology and junior (yr 8+9+10) science.
Well last night was a false alarm so had a big sleep in this morning ! Things seem to be changing so maybe not so long to wait ... but you are right ... a 10am start or something like that would be much more considerate !

Congratulations on your new appointment. Biology was my favourite subject. It is an excellent and diverse subject when kids get a teacher who brings it alive.

On the baby from, a spicy asian meal like Tahi or Indian curry seems get things going if its is that close. All the best for an exciting time overall!

Don't forget to get your tummy shots in before the arrival - you can't go back to them
