I just got my new laptop hooked up and found it has Adobe Creative Suite CS2!  Including Photoshop CS2.  Whooppee!!

Mac Powerbook G4, it has only 512 RAM but I'm going to upgrade it to 1Gb.  It will take that OK.

So you'll be happier than a happy thing then.
Lucky you.

You got lucky...I'm trying to figure out which version of PhotoShop to buy for my first one...I'm thinking CS3 since it's a bargain at about $600.00 these days...Ben

Cs2 included, thats cool. (unless you already have it or cs3)
Trucky, Cs3 is the go, it has new tools and some of the others are updated and improved.

Here's the thing.
CS4 has just been released - a major upgrade that offers huge leaps in non-degrading editing features and hooks in tightly to Light Room 2.
These items are very expensive new, first time around (about AUD$1200 for CS4 and $500 for Light Room)
If you have either qualifying product - either Light Room 1 or CS3, you can upgrade to both CS4 and Light Room 2 for about $520 total and pro-rata for Pounds, Euro or USD.
Check out the website. the upgrade deal is available until sometime in 2009. Very powerful tools, albeit with a bit of a learning curve.

While you are at it, anyone with Pro presentation aspirations, check out the 30 day free trial for Pro-Select at www.timeexposure.com
We use this for showing protrait shoots to clients. Amazing product. (non-sponsored, just our opinion ...and that of a few thousand other pros)
