You've got something in mind, haven't you?  But yes, a good topic, will make us look at things with a fresh eye.

Hello all,

Off the air quite a bit at the moment. My wife's mum is ill and in hospital in Brisbane, so we will be up here until early next week.
I have my laptop (notebook) and have some Internet access and will chime in from time to time, when possible.

On the suggested topic of rust or decay, decay on its own sounds a bit depressing, so what about Rust & decay?
Always happy for input on these things.

Thanks everyone.
Elaine has a lot of support with eight kids (my wife Andrea is the youngest) and a pile of grand kids and partners to support her.

I hope everything goes well for you all. Its not a nice feeling when you find out a family member is ill with the big C.
Unfortunately my own mother was told she had it a couple of months ago. I wish it would just go away.

The husbnd of one of the ladies on my cat world forum went to the Dr becuase his breathing felt constricted and it was lung cancer.  A secondary had wraped around his trachea. But it seems to be the only secondary and the doctors are confident.

The lesson is don't delay going to the doctor (especially you guys!) if something doesn't feel right.  If this guy had left it any longer it would probably have spread like wildfire and be a definite death sentence.  Cancers are treatable and curable if cought early enough.

This terrible thing effects one in three at some point and just about every family is touched by it.
The funny thing is no dies of "old age" you either have a heart attack, cancer/tumor, stroke or get hit by the 8.15 bus.

A few lucky ones, like a guy here in Queensland the other day get to go the exciting way and get grabbed by a crocodile while checking the crab pots!
One way or the other, we all get there.
