Hi

Just popped in to say hello and hope to meet some likeminded photo people!!

I am an amateur photographer and would love to know if there are any people who would be willing to meet to have their portrait taken, purely for the experience. We can all take turns. Being selfish here as hiring studios and professional models is costly and am looking for cheaper way to build up a portfolio. This way everyone gets what they want, and a bit of fun aswell??

Anyone interested??

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Hi 'D',

If you are interested in forming a local group, we are happy to provide a dedicated gallery and forum board for your group (and tha goes for any other members too)...We almost have enough for a Manchester UK chapter.

Part of my motivation for setting up Light Art is an aspiratin to build a world wide community comprised of local communities, built primarily on a common interest or passion in any form of photography. The ultimate goal is for local groups to arrange meet ups, theme challenges, photo-walks perhaps, shared studion days, one day tours or events. We do not need thousands of members (nor is that necessarily desirable).
How would you promote locally? www.gumtree.com in Europe and Australasia works well, as does the US sister site www.kijiji.com
I have run into trouble promoting in multiple sites as it is specifically designed for local groups, but it works very well for free local promotion. After posting, every seven days, you receive an email asking if want to re-post which puts the ad back to the top of the list. You just click the link and it is done
